When queer individuals are seen \u2014 in leadership, in media, in schools, and in families \u2014 it challenges stereotypes and expands understanding. Pride Month is a time to amplify that visibility, unapologetically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many, coming out is not an option due to safety, culture, or fear of rejection. That\u2019s why visible role models are so important. From activists and artists to athletes and CEOs, every out LGBTQ+ person sends a message that it&#8217;s okay to live authentically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But visibility also comes with a price \u2014 scrutiny, harassment, and vulnerability. Pride Month should also be about protecting visible individuals and advocating for environments where they don\u2019t have to be brave just to be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being visible isn\u2019t about seeking attention.
